You are asked to design the set and costumes for a production of "The Tempest" which you may assume is to take place in a venue of your own choice. Whichever venue you select, your design must be appropriate for that specific location.
You have a reasonable budget for this large scale production, but not a lavish one.
You should present for assessment: a plan of the set, a scale model and costume designs for at least six characters.
You will be graded upon:
- your general design scheme
- appropriate use of the space
- appropriateness to the play
- accuracy and technical ability
- style and content of your presentation
- general creativity, progress and class participation

All students are expected to take responsibility for their own and others' safety, and to report any injuries and their progress of recovery.
