DRAWING FOR THE THEATRE

Saturdays - 10.00am to 1.00pm

The aim of the course is to develop and practise freehand drawing and sketching skills.

Grading is mainly by continuous assessment throughout the Course. These grades will represent 75% of the final grade. The additional 25% will be awarded at the discretion of the tutor, taking into account progress, technical development and creativity. There will be no final exam.

SCHEDULE

No formal schedule is available (nor desirable) for this course. Classes will consist of a series of exercises to develop and practise such skills as pencil, Conté, crayon, pen and wash techniques, rapid sketching, hand/eye co-ordination, architectural, still life and figure drawing (draped and nude).

Students will work through a varied selection of exercises based upon perceived requirements, designed to develop, challenge and stimulate their abilities.
